General Information

A minimum administration fee of 1.75% of the amount of cattle purchased, or $175 per contract, whichever is greater, will be charged. For the first year only, the administration fee will be charged to the contract. The member will be responsible for all administration charges for years 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Mandatory insurance will be charged to a member's contract for the first year. A member is responsible for all insurance charges for years 2, 3, 4 and 5.

A minimum farm visit  fee of $30 per visit and up to four visits for the first year on new members, and two visits for existing members will be charged. For the first year only, the farm visit fee will be charged to the contract. The member will be responsible for all farm visit charges for years 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Any miscellaneous charges such as branding or late payment penalties will be the responsibility of the member to pay.

Should the Supervisor and the member not agree on a price of bred heifers/cows, then the member may approach the Board of Directors to state his concerns. The ruling of the Board of Directors will be final.

Annual meeting notices will be sent to all members and notices will also be published in local newspapers. Only members in good standing (not suspended from the Association or from purchasing cattle through the Association) are eligible to vote.

The Fort Cow Calf Co-op Association Board of Directors shall consist of seven Directors which are nominated at the annual meeting. The Board of Directors may select a nominating committee for this purpose, although nominations and volunteers will be accepted at the annual meeting.

Regulations may change from time to time at the discretion of the Board of Directors. Failure to be familiar with regulations does not exclude a member from the consequences of his/her actions. Please call the Fort Cow Calf Co-op Association before proceeding if you have any questions.

The Fort Cow Calf Co-op Association will register the branded livestock with the Personal Properties Security Act at the cost of the member. A full discharge will be issues when the member's loan is completely paid in full.
